Abstract: ERICSSON’S HISTORICAL ARCHIVE Ericsson is a Swedish company founded at the end of nineteenth century as a business specialized in telephone products. In the 1920’s, given the context of commercial policies that enabled it to conquer foreign markets, Ericsson acquires a large share of the Roman factory Fatme, established in 1919 and specialized in the production of electro-telephonic material. The historical archive of the Italian branch of Ericsson stores documentation and photographic material concerning Fatme, its finance company Setemer, as well the plant engineering Sielte company. Ericsson had a share of this latter company, too, which was founded in 1930. The article synthesizes the Italian branch of Ericsson’s historical curriculum furnishing a vantage point of view that summarizes the documents stored in their archive.
