Abstract: A ROMAN INDUSTRY FOR THE FINE ARTS THE MARMORIDEA FACILITY AT VILLA PONIATOWSKY (1855-1871) About the mid 1800’s, the production of artificial marble in Rome becomes one of the most active artistic industries and is strongly present even in the field of restoration. This short article not only recounts the procedures that make-up for such particular marble-like stuccoes, identifying them among the shooting lodges of the former Poniatowsky estate, but even describes the Marmoridea facility belonged for a couple of years to the Marquis Campana.
