Abstract:  This article examines what is left from the documents of the Sacra Consulta, especially the first register of the drafts of the letters from the XVII century, concerning the year 1633. Firstly this article describes the Congregation, it’s structure and it’s evolution; secondly there is an analysis of the document, preserved in National Archive in Rome (ASR, Congregazione e Supremo Tribunale della Sacra Consulta (1801-1870), Registrazioni delle lettere spedite, reg. 838): number, structure, content and addressees of these letters are central to this study. Moreover we can find the cataloguing system of the topics submitted to the SC. Finally the aim of this article is to bring out the interventions of the Consulta in order to make more homogenous the legal area of the Church’s State, already in the third decade on the 600’s.
