Abstract: Nineteenth and twentieth centuries, exposures constituted moments of great importance both for the development of traditional industries and for the diffusion of innovations. As shown by recent studies, are of great interest not only national events or “universal” but also the initiatives taken at the regional and provincial levels. In this paper we examine the case of exposure held in Verona in 1900. The event stood out for size, organizational complexity and novelty, establishing itself as a major event for the city of Venice.
